Energy Whiz Expo Fosters STEM Learning
ReThink Energy Florida will host the 7th Annual Regional Energy Whiz Expo at Buck Lake Elementary School to foster creativity, innovation, and STEM learning in students across the region. At the Solar Sprint, teams of 3rd through 8th graders will race solar-powered cars to see which is the fastest. At the Solar Cook-Off, students in 4th through 12th grade will compete on the design of a fully solar-powered oven as well as cook a dish. This family-friendly event is open to the public and all are welcome to cheer on the students.
WHEN: Saturday, April 2, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Solar car racing will be from 12:30-2 pm.
WHO: ReThink Energy Florida will host the 7th Annual Regional Energy Whiz Expo for students in the Leon County area. It is open to the public to attend.
WHERE: Buck Lake Elementary School courts or inside (depending on weather), 1600 Pedrick Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32317
WHY: The Regional Energy Whiz Expo provides students in the Leon County area with innovative ways to learn about STEM and solar energy. The winning team from each event will have the opportunity to compete in the state-wide Energy Whiz Expo.
