Special Events
Here are events you can join to make a difference.
Volunteer, participate, and celebrate!
Energy Camp
Energy Camp is our largest annual children’s outreach program. Geared toward children grades 3-6, Energy Camp allows children to combine STEM and their creativity as they learn to make solar ovens, fix bikes and construct landfill liners. Youth are given space and encouragement to develop fundamental skills to solve energy issues and reduce their environmental impact.Â
Energy Whiz
Energy Whiz Expos provides hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education in a fun competition for students in Leon County and surrounding areas.
ReClaiming Florida’s Future for All
Reclaiming Florida’s Future is ReThink Energy Florida’s annual advocacy day in the Spring, where we bring together constituents from across the state to advocate for climate, energy, and environmental justice. We highly encourage participation from all individuals, regardless of experience, background, or location!Â
Energy Ball
Funds raised at Energy Ball go to ReThink’s Science Engagement Program, which provides STEM-based school and after-school projects and instruction in schools in Leon County.
Every year, one individual, youth, and business are chosen to receive an Energy Innovator Award. The winner is announced at Energy Ball. Energy Ball also has live music, food, games, a green outfit contest, and a silent auction.
Power Hour
Would you like to know more about what ReThink is doing? What do you think our most pressing issues are? How would you go about solving them? We’d love to answer your questions about our programs as well as hear your ideas and concerns. Future Power Hours are announced in our Newsletters and Events pages.
