 
The Regional Energy Whiz Expo offers hands-on STEM education through fun competitions for students in Leon County and surrounding areas, aimed at 3rd-8th graders. The expo includes the Solar Sprint and Solar Cook-Off events.
Winners of each event may compete in the state-wide Energy Whiz Expo, available to 4th-8th graders.
In the Solar Sprint, teams design, build, and race solar-powered cars.
In the Solar Cook-Off, teams build solar cookers to prepare a food dish.
