Pack the Senate for a Fracking Ban!

Senator Montford will be presenting his ban on hydraulic fracturing, acid fracturing, and matrix acidizing (SB 200) at the Environment and Natural Resource Committee meeting on Monday, November 4th.

Let’s have a big turn out to make sure our state legislators know that Floridians support this ban on fracking! Please arrive to the meeting by 3:45 pm to fill out a comment card for your opportunity to speak. Prepare a brief (less than 2 or 3 minutes) statement introducing yourself and why you believe that fracking in Florida must be banned. Potential reasons include a desire for clean air and water, a fear of fracking induced earthquakes, the correlation between rare cancers and fracking, climate change, etc.

You can also show support of the fracking ban without speaking by stating you favor the bill on a comment card. However, the more folks who voice their support the better!
