ReThink is proud to announce Reclaiming Florida’s Future Year Round and ReThink Your Rest
You’re invited to ReThink Your Rest
Join Co-Executive Director Kim Ross for our virtual ReThink Your Rest, Thursday, June 16 at 4:30-6pm EDT. In this event, we’ll gather to discuss ways we rejuvenate and renew ourselves. Kim will bring her recent experiences with the class Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet, and invites participants to bring a song or reading that helps them remember to relax, release, and rest in order to renew.
ReThink Your RestAnnouncing the launch of Reclaiming Florida’s Future Year Round
ReThink Energy Florida is proud to announce the launch of Reclaiming Florida’s Future Year Round. We will partner with RFF Lobby Day participants and others to develop a smart energy and environmental legislative agenda. Our goal is to get good bills filed before legislative session starts, rather than only having to fight against bad bills at the last minute.
We will develop and provide talking points for meetings with their legislators, and work towards tangible improvements in Florida’s energy and environmental policies.
If you or your organization is interested in participating, either as an organizer or an attendee, please fill out this brief form below. We will invite respondents to a special online launch event on Thursday, June 20 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. We’d love to see you there!
RFF Year RoundFun and the Sun with Energy Camp
Need plans for your bundle of joy this summer? Think Energy Camp.
The first session of Energy Camp is June 17-21. The second session is July 22-26.
Energy Camp is sponsored in part by the Sunshine State Biodiversity Group (SSBG). The Sunshine State Biodiversity Group (SSBG) is a new Florida-based environmental nonprofit focused on the importance of biodiversity and wild places. SSBG supports vital education and outreach initiatives, in addition to land conservation.
Energy Camp is ReThink’s largest annual children’s outreach program, geared towards children grades 3-6 with a curriculum focused on Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM). This camp is exceptionally interactive and allows children to combine STEM and creativity as they learn to make solar ovens, fix bikes, and construct landfill liners.
Energy Camp will be held at United Church of Tallahassee (1834 Mahan Drive Tallahassee, FL 32308).

Supplies are needed to ensure a successful camp: We need shoe boxes with attached lids and short-length battery-powered fairy lights.
Volunteer duties include setup, breakdown, and helping campers with activities. Please join us for fun activities with students building a love for the environment.
