Energy Whiz Expo

The Regional Energy Whiz Expo is back for our North FL students! Teams of students from either classrooms or afterschool activities compete in the Junio Solar Sprint and Solar Energy Cook-off.

This competition is an opportunity for local students from third grade and up (through high school) to use and demonstrate their science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) knowledge, creative thinking, teamwork to design and build small solar powered model cars, solar cookers and create a dish in that same cooker. Technical experts provide feedback and give awards to the top teams in both the Junior Solar Sprint and the Solar Energy Cook-Off.
