Recent analysis from Food & Water Watch uncovered that Florida has had 35 oil-related spills during the last four years--about nine per year!
The occurrence of spills will likely increase if the oil and gas industry fracks for fossil fuels. The Governor has remained silent on the need to ban fracking since his first week in office, putting Florida at risk for ANOTHER year without a ban.
Please come out to our press event on Thursday, April 25, at 1:30 PM where we’ll present an art installation in the Capitol Courtyard illustrating the already-existing pollution from the oil and gas industry--and challenging Governor DeSantis to take action to ensure that all forms of fracking are banned this year!
