We are hosting an Advocacy Day at the Florida State Capitol. Concerned Florida citizens from all across the state will have the opportunity to speak to their legislators and let their voices be heard. We are advocating to protect Florida’s clean water, support renewable energy, and BAN Fracking! We will be talking with our legislators about these critical issues.
This event is co-sponsored by ReThink Energy Florida, Environment Florida, Food and Water Watch-Florida, Floridians Against Fracking, Physicians for Social Responsibility Florida, Sierra Club Florida, Center for Biological Diversity, Ignite Change, Florida Student Power Network, Earth Justice, Foundation for Florida Environmental Protection, Florida Native Plant Society, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy and many more!
Issues on the Agenda:
Transition to Renewable Energy
Join our fight against fracking and push for a transition to renewable energy.
Water Quality and Quantity
Keep our drinking waters clean, reduce runoff, and eliminate harmful algae blooms that threaten our health.
Local, regional, and statewide planning is needed to ensure that community designs are sustainable.
Create infrastructure and policies that ensure climate and wildlife protection is long lasting.
Reduce Single-use Plastic
Protect Florida’s waters and wildlife from single-use plastic bags, straws, and polystyrene.
Support measures that protect the Floridians most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
