Assemble to Protect Florida's Energy Efficiency Standards

On August 12, members of ReThink Energy Florida’s Tallahassee Chapter will join partners from across the state to oppose a series of measures which may nearly eliminate Florida’s statewide energy efficiency goals. The measures, created by some of Florida’s big utilities, would increase energy use and energy costs for Floridians. While no public testimony will be allowed by the Public Service Commission--the public agency responsible for regulating Florida’s utilities--at the initial hearing, we will be gathering in room E-148 at 1:30 on Monday August 12 at to make sure they see our disapproval. The meeting will take place at the Public Service Commission, which is located at 2540 Shumard Oak Blvd, Tallahassee, FL 32399. If you are interested in attending, please wear business casual.
