Pack the Senate to Stop Flawed Fracking Bill

A Senate Proposed Bill (SPB 7064)--a bill not sponsored by any legislator, but drafted on behalf of an entire committee--is scheduled to be heard in front of the Senate Agriculture Committee on Monday, March 4th, at 1:00 PM. The bill contains a flawed definition of fracking and would leave open a loophole to frack using matrix acidizing.

To be a true fracking ban bill, Committee Chair Senator Albritton (DeSoto, Glades, Hardee, Highlands, Okeechobee, and parts of Charlotte, Lee, and Polk counties) and his fellow Agriculture Committee members must amend their bill to include the full scientific definition of fracking. Help us show these legislators that a flawed definition is not acceptable by attending the meeting on March 4, at 1:00 PM in Room 301 of the Senate Building at the Florida Capitol and waiving in opposition to the Senate Proposed Bill UNLESS it is amended to include a complete definition of fracking.

Will you come?
