The Tallahassee Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is hosting a screening of "Facing the Surge" on Monday, October 24, 2016 at The Challenger Planetarium from 5:30-7:30 pm. This exciting short film documenting the cost of sea level rise in Norfolk, VA., home to our largest naval base, will be presented by Director Diogo Freire as part of an East Coast movie tour sponsored by CCL. Rather than yielding to despair, the film tells stories of people raising awareness and pursuing real solutions. The "Facing the Surge" trailer can be seen at www.CCLUSA.org/trailer.
Attendees are invited to meet the filmmaker and local activists, learn about workable climate solutions, and see what they can do to make a difference. The event will begin at 5:30 pm with a Green Drinks reception including appetizers and cash bar, followed by the film program in the Planetarium at 6:15 pm. This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so reservations are recommended atwww.CCLUSA.org/register.
