It’s that time again for the Annual Coastal Clean-up Event at Bald Point State Park!
Last year we had another successful year with 11,800 pounds of materials collected off our shoreline with the help of 83 outstanding hard working volunteers. As always we have the Bald Point and Alligator Point beaches that can always use the extra help during this annual coastal clean-up. Last year we had a few individuals that were willing to bring their canoes and kayaks that allowed us to clean up in HARD TO GET AREAS. We found them to be a huge help with the clean-up but just keep in mind of the weather such as the winds speeds/wind direction.
Volunteers should bring or wear:
Sunscreen, Bug spray, Water bottle, Protective Clothing (hat, long pants, long sleeved shirt, Closed toe shoes or water shoes and Gloves).
Volunteers will be provided with: Trash Bags, Drinking water, Snacks, Data Cards, Gloves, T-shirts. (while Supplies Last)
We are hoping for another successful year for this year’s clean-up. Please RSVP to help with making sure I will have enough supplies to accommodate our individual and group volunteers for this year’s clean-up. So come on out and enjoy a day giving back to our Florida Coastline that we all enjoy so much and are real fortunate to live near.
Rethink will be having a carpool from the Publix at Capital Circle and Crawfordville Highway at 7:00am the morning of the event.
